At
the end of our conversation, Dewey Nicks gives a bit of advice:
"Enthusiasm is the most valuable quality you can have
because you can't replace it if you lose it." Mr.
Nicks should know, because he's built a very successful career
on a heady blend of enthusiasm and talent. Just look at the
resume: fashion and portrait photographer for magazines including
Vogue, GQ, W, Vanity Fair, and Interview; a U.S. Comedy Arts
Festival Award for "The World's Funniest Commercial";
print and commercial campaigns for Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger,
Union Bay, and Roxy by Quicksilver; acceptance into the Slamdance
Film Festival for his first documentary Hell House; a debut
as a feature film director this February with a to-be-titled
feature starring Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore),
